To survive in today's highly competitive world, it has become imperative for graduates have certain edge. Recognizing the importance of this, and the fact that communication skills play a major role in recruitments, KMIT offers its students an opportunity to take the Business English Certificate exam, an ESOL exam conducted by Cambridge University, more commonly known as BEC.

Needless to say, BEC is an internationally recognized qualification in English for work. The benefits of getting the certification are many:

The certificate is available at three levels - BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher. At present, KMIT provides coaching for Preliminary and Vantage levels.

Faculty

Dr. Aparna

A PhD with 25 years of teaching experience. Besides regular teaching, Dr. Aparna has worked as a counselor for students studying certificate course in functional English at IGNOU; for M.A. literature students at B.R. Ambedkar University and a counselor at the ELT Centre at Nizam College. She is also a trained Soft Skills expert from Osmania University and has conducted workshops at schools and colleges. Dr. Aparna is a course instructor for Business English Certificate Preliminary level.

Shweta Paropkari

An ELT (English Language Trainer) armed with a Masters’ Degree, Ms. Paropkari has been working exclusively with Engineering students for the past four years.She brings along with her a corporate experience having worked with Deloitte India Private Services prior to becoming a dedicated language trainer . She is a certified BEC and Soft Skills Trainer and has worked with several engineering institutes across India. Ms. Paropkari is the course instructor for both Preliminary and Vantage levels of BEC.
